And all through the house...

Friday, December 23, 2016 / Leave a Comment
not a creature was stirring.....not even a mouse....or a cat.

This blog has a been a little quite these days as December has proven to be a busy month. Lots of Christmasy moments have happened, but I haven't taken many photos to prove that.

There was decorating the house the first of December...

The beautiful Christmas cactus in bloom that Aunt Treasure gave my sister Treasure...

Everyone hiding their Christmas projects...

Amazon and free two day shopping...

Wearing a Christmas hat and scarf even though the day doesn't get out of the 80's...

Packaging up and sharing our 100 homemade donuts with friends...

The sheer delight of the first Christmas cups at the coffee shop...

The Christmas books...

The sewing...

The crafting...

The painting...

The glitter,

The wood, the stain...

The Sunday sermons that start and end in Luke 2...

The mailman becomes more than a mail man the month of December...as Tom roars down our dirt road sporting his floppy fishing hat, he brings us cards from friends we hear from once a year...he even leaves a card, thanking us for the cold Coke and little gift just for him.

When one Christmas movie turns into two...

The ugly sweater wrapping paper...

The day in the kitchen with mrs. Shirley and the infamous fruit cake....you know...the little bread loaf that someone (bless their heart) gives you every year that "cures" for like....weeks...

Some days have been marked with dressing up for a concert and opening a music notebook, and sharing your favorite Christmas music, hoping those around you make them their favorites as well.

"If we believe if we'll only receive Him
He came to breathe life and restore all the hearts that need healing
we will rejoice for glory of God is before us
so will you receive this Christmas Love.

Born to die in my place
all my pain He replaced
with Love - this undeserving Love."

A moment in the hallway before bed, shared with Mom, remembering a special Christmas gift given many years ago....we cried and then we laughed...

And then...some days have been spent in less holidayish clothes, cleaning and cooking, grocery shopping and keeping up on everyday stuff. After all, every day can't be a Pinterest worthy day right? :)

It's all in the moments.....the ones captured through a camera, and embraced by heart.

With only two days until Christmas, I wish all of you the best of Christmas's.
